Ghost

I’ve been Pinned!

How was your weekend? Mine was too quick since, unlike my husband, I had to work on President’s Day. But I managed to cram as much fun filled stuff as possible into my two days off! On Sunday we met up with some friends for brunch. Such an adult thing to do, have brunch- don’t you think?

One of my friends is about a month away from having her first baby and unfortunately I wasn’t able to make her baby shower. So brunch was in order for sure. After we placed our orders, I had Brittany open her present.  I couldn’t wait until after waffles.

I made Brittany’s baby three appliqued onesies. One with a mustache, since you know- ‘staches are all the rage. Another one with a tie, so baby Mason can be a fancy man. And one with the great State of Ohio so he can represent the DYT.

Turns out, Brit loved them as much as I did and uploaded a picture of the Ohio onesie to Pinterest! I’m shocked, thrilled and tinkled pink! Or I guess blue in this case?

What do you think, a new product line for Lilly Pea?

Game On

Well you know after the Akron Marathon my Runelaltion was born.   January à la twenty twelve is here in two weeks (say, what? I know!) which means I just registered for my first 2012 race! Holla!

Let me get straight with you, I’m not really that excited to run outside in January in Ohio. I’m even less thrilled that the race I picked falls on New Years Day. I had a hard time committing because I know that means NYE celebrations will have to be dramatically cut back. On the other hand, I also think it is a great way to kick off Runelation ‘12!

It’s time to get S.E.R.I.O.U.S.

It gets better. My husband totally surprised me with a text that said “I’ll run”. I of course thought I was seeing things and had to send multiple texts confirming he meant he would like to do this 5k with me and not you know run for senator or something. The most athletic thing Adam and I have ever done together was climb the Great Wall this past summer.

I’m pretty much smitten right now.

The race I picked is World Race for Hope: Unite to Stop Human Trafficking. The first race for 2012 is kicking off in Troy, Ohio. Their goal is to raise $100,000 for the Somaly Mam Foundation over the next year by the races they’ve set up in other cities such as New York City and Columbus, OH. You can help them reach their goal by participating in a race near you, be a virtual participant or you can donate to Team Pilchak if you so wish.

January 1st around noon- it’s game on Runelation. I’ll meet you at the starting line.

Boho 72

Wow, guys, in the past week I’ve listed some new cards and announced a few shows. Are you thinking I’ve been sneaky with keeping so much on the DL? Well, hold your hats because I have some more exciting news!

In early fall I was contacted to discuss the opportunity to have my cards sold in a new shop that was to open a few weeks later.  I’m currently only in a small art gallery in Troy, Michigan (Duffy & Co) so I jumped at the chance to be in a store in Ohio!

Boho 72 opened their doors a few weeks ago, and I can’t wait to stop in to meet Jamie IRL. Boho 72 is located in my post-college stompin’ grounds: Dublin, Ohio. In addition to my cute cards (ahem, which are right by the register. Yes please feel free to impulse buy away!)- this shop sells apparel, accessories, art work and gifts. My girl Allison’s super wicked etched stemware are sold here too!

The shop is open Tuesday-Sunday. Make sure you fan them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.  Oh and of course, stop by the store and check them out!
