January Goals: Structure
This month my focus is all about structure, lipstick and running!
My goals for this month:
- Organize the closets
- Design a daily schedule
- Run 15 miles (total, not at once)
- Wear more lipstick
Goals for Lilly Pea/The Paper Pod
- One new listing a week
- Site updates: New profile picture & reorganize tabs, headers, and tags
After a quick “calendar” search on Pinterest I came across this daily cleaning schedule:
I’m the type of person who does all my cleaning at once and then find myself frustrated that my house stays clean for probably an hour before I’m wiping muddy paws or doing the dishes, again. At first I turned my nose at the idea of cleaning some portion of my house each day- I wouldn’t get my 5 minutes of glory as I stare at each sparkly clean room.
Then I saw this laundry schedule:
I’m also the type of person that considers laundry that is started, finished and put away in the same day to be a victory-even though this rarely happens. Besides laundry is a never ending story. It’s impossible to have no dirty clothes in a day.
Since one of my goals this month is to design a daily schedule and one of my 2012 goals is to stay on top of housework I thought for this month I’d try breaking up my chores. My schedule looks something like this:
- Mondays: clean kitchen, wash whites
- Tuesdays: clean bathrooms, wash darks/colors
- Wednesdays: dust, wash delicates
- Thursday: clean floors, wash towels
- Friday: clean windows, wash bedding
I think I’ll feel like I’m doing laundry everyday (oh wait, I will be) but I’m hoping it will keep my laundry pile up in check. I don’t know what to expect with the daily cleaning tasks but I hope it ends up in my favor. Especially if this means more fun time on the weekends! (which were left out of my cleaning schedule on purpose)
How do you clean or do the laundry? All at once or a little at a time?
