2011’s goals
It’s the end of the year, which means I guess I should take a look at the goals I set for myself for the year and see how I did. Honestly, I am pretty pleased with my progress. Let’s review!
My 2011 Goals
1. Become a homeowner!
Duh- ya know I got this one accomplished baby! It’s crazy to think we’re coming up on our 1 year anniversary of being homeowners. We still have a large bucket list of things we want to do but I think that comes with being a homeowner- yes?

2. Get Published
Well, I did not submit even one design to CardMaker or Papercraft. BUT a photo of my gift tags were published in the local paper- so while that wasn’t my intended location for publication it still counts!

3. Fifty two photosets
I need to publish last week and this week before Sunday but I’d say this goal is done. The purpose of this goal was to take more pictures of my life- I really enjoyed this challenge and enjoyed posting them to the blog. I plan on having a similar feature for 2012.

4. Twelve LPD goals
I successfully created monthly goals for Lilly Pea Designs. I did not accomplish all of them but that’s okay because setting goals ended up being a very useful tool for me. It helped me see what I needed to/try to accomplish for the month and helped set priorities.

My 2011 Resolutions
1. Yoga, weekly.
Ahhh- I did NOT make yoga a bigger priority in my life. I did get some mat time in this year but not nearly as much as I’d like. I really feel yoga is good for my body, soul and mind. And I HOPE that I dedicate more time to my practice in 2012.
2. Be a better wife.
Hmm… I defined this goal by being more of a morning person and cooking more meals. I definitely am more of a morning person now that my alarm goes off at 5am. And I did manage to make some meals throughout the year. So by those terms I’d say this resolution was a success. However, I feel this is something that I can always improve upon. A lousy wife would be no fun for Dr. P.

I can look back at 2011 and say that it was a good year. There were lots of new beginnings (home ownership, new job, hosting our first Easter, becoming an aunt), lots of new adventures (LPD being picked up by a few new stores, travels to Florida, China and NYC) and some great goals accomplished. I can’t wait to see what in store for the new year!
Did you set resolutions/goals for 2011? How did you do?
