Fancy a style?
A weird fact about my husband and I- we both have preferred writing utensils.  Adam is a bit more strict than I, he only writes with Pilot G-2  07 Blue. He sometimes will have a Fine Point Sharpie Black with him, but he has nothing but love for the G-2 07. In 2003 I fell in love with the BIC Z-4 pens. I just love the way my hand writing looks with this ink and point combination. Sadly,...

LPD January Goals: progress report
Earlier this month I posted the goals I wanted to accomplish with my shop for January. As the the month is almost up I thought I’d share a progress report: January Goals: Reopen shop: I had it closed for a show, then the basement flooded and well that was that.  Snap photos of inventory that needs it: Hopefully there is a sunny day in the near future so the pictures turn out nice! List...

Part timer
As you know, I am a stay at home wife. Moving to Dayton required me to quit my job because the commute would have been too much. Once we settled, I started looking for employment but as you can imagine part time desk jobs are pretty rare in this economy. Over 2010 I would spend a few months searching, take a few months off and repeat. February 2010, I applied for a great job as an HR Specialist....

Chicken Chili
As you know, one of my goals this year is to be a better wife- with that comes trying to make dinner once a week for my husband. I am a very impatient cook which typically results in burnt food. I do pretty well if I’m not hungry though! On the bright side, I am AH-MAZING at picking out recipes :) This week I decided to do my own spin on my friend’s White Chicken Chili recipe. I...

LPD January Goals
As mentioned in yesterday’s post, this year I am challenging myself to set monthly goals with my business, Lilly Pea Designs. October-December I was pretty busy with shows, our basement flooded, I had a lot of responsibilities for our friend’s wedding and then of course the holidays. Needless to say, my shop is a mess and this month’s goal is to focus on getting it back in...

The Race Begins
My 2011 goals to achieve 1. Become a homeowner. Originally we moved to Dayton for my husband to post-doc. However my husband enjoys the work he is doing here so we decided to stay.  My number one goal this year is finally purchase a house. We spent all 2010 saving for a down payment and now it’s time to stop wasting money on rent and find a house we want to call home! 2. Get Published. It’s...

A fresh start to twenty eleven
A Blog resolution It’s a new year, and like many bloggers that means posting what we hope to achieve over the next 12 months.  I’m not one for resolutions, as I general fall short on trying to change a bunch of things at once.  Working toward a goal is more my speed. While I do have goals for the new year, I also have managed to make one resolution:  change my blog. When I opened my Etsy shop...
